Anna Kircher,
Youth Leaders Coordinator
Anna Kircher (she/her) joined YES in June 2023 in the role of Youth Leaders Coordinator. Anna discovered her passion for supporting youth at a young age while working as a camp counselor for the YMCA in her hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her commitment to youth development grew through her participation in international internships, where she facilitated summer camp opportunities for youth and families stationed at U.S. military bases. After earning her B.A. in elementary education and education specialist credential, Anna relocated to the Bay Area, serving as a special education teacher at Pleasant Hill Middle School in a social-emotional supported classroom.
Anna’s unwavering passion lies in connecting youth to nature and empowering them to cultivate their leadership skills. Outside of her professional pursuits, Anna enjoys taking hikes with her dog, reading in the sun, and singing in her local choir.
