The Adult Leadership Pathway is a progressive series of leadership development programs focused on nurturing young adults and adults’ inner power, unique gifts, and strengths to achieve their personal goals, support their families, and be leaders in their community.
TREES: Teaching Racial Environmental Empowerment Series
Ages 18 (post-highschool) - 26
The TREES program is committed to creating a holistic space for young people to learn about the current and historic impacts of substances and policing in their communities, participate in healthy healing modalities, and advocate for local investments in mental health. The TREES cohort values authenticity, imagination, and collaboration.
This program involves:
Workshops focused on issues impacting Communities of Color
Mentorship & pathways to employment at YES and other community organizations
Outdoor activities (kayaking, camping, hiking)

Ages 21+
Nurture Your Power is a 6 month program dedicated to connecting Richmond adults (21+) to their power, strengths, and passions, achieving their personal goals, and growing as leaders in their families and community. The program emphasizes both the inner and outer work of a leader, including gaining clarity of purpose, increasing self-confidence and awareness, and improved interpersonal skills. Workshop themes include personal strength development, advocacy, public speaking, and goal setting.

The Use Your Power Program provides graduates of the Nurture Your Power Program with opportunities to further their development and engagement as leaders. Fellows are supported to serve as facilitators, organizers, and drivers of change. Participants engage in a nine-month program which includes an overnight retreat, leadership training, individualized support and goal-setting, collaborative learning, and service & community-based action projects.
Fellows also implement their skills by co-facilitating Leaders Program retreats and workshops, and serving in leadership roles at YES Family Camps. Fellows graduate with increased confidence and skills to engage as empowered leaders in their families and community.

Live in Richmond or surrounding areas
If the adult has children, children should qualify for free/reduced lunch at school
